About Marli

A deep connection with the horse

Horses are a consistent theme in Marli’s work. Her deep connection with this noble animal means that the beauty, strength and energy of the horse are her inexhaustible source of inspiration.

The Driving Force

Where does the passion for painting horses come from?
For Marli, the answer is not an aesthetic choice, but an emotional necessity.
A horse has it all: muscular strength, beauty, intelligence, speed — and it is incredibly devoted to humankind. It is willing to cooperate, to merge, to carry with and for humankind. It gives humans wings, to speak figuratively. The animal is, at all times, at human mercy. This reality touches her so deeply that it has been her source of inspiration and driving force for many years.
