Marli Hommel · Horse Art
The horse as an endless source of inspiration
Marli captures the horse in all its many forms: as a prey animal moving instinctively within the herd, as an athletic and willing partner in its relationship with humans, or in the quiet beauty of a moment of stillness. Through her paintings, built up in delicate, translucent layers, she reveals not only the physical presence of the horse but also its deeper essence and inner spirit. It is this profound understanding of the horse’s nature that has earned her the title of “ambassador of the horse’s soul.”

About Marli
The Connection between Human & Horse
Horses are a consistent theme in Marli’s work. Her deep connection with this noble animal means that the beauty, strength and energy of the horse are her inexhaustible source of inspiration.
COMMISSIONED PORTRAIT
A lasting memory of the horse that has touched your heart
Marli will create a dynamic portrait for you that captures both the physical features and the personality of your horse. She works from a selection of photographs, but can also visit you in person to take pictures and get a better impression of where the painting will be displayed. It is also possible to portray several horses together in a larger painting. When you order your painting, it is possible to talk about your horse’s character, the colours in your home and any other particular wishes you may have. Of course, you are also welcome to give Marli Hommel complete creative freedom! Horses from all over the world already have been painted by Marli.
